The hotel was in a secluded location in the forest. Local fast food option Frisco Popcorn Factory was 20 minutes walk away. I was offered a room with gorgeous views of garden...

We enjoyed staying in a lovely room that was beautifully decorated, had electric blankets, and hypoallergenic pillows, and the quiet location on a hill was a nice bonus.

I absolutely adored the charming decorations throughout the hotel, from the vintage wallpaper to the delicate china teacups. It truly felt like stepping back in time to a more elegant era. The common areas were well-maintained and offered plenty of seating for us to relax and enjoy the stunning views. I was also pleased to find that the hotel was easily accessible for senior people, with wide hallways and handrails in the right places. It made me feel safe and comfortable throughout my stay.
If I had to suggest one improvement for a better vacation for senior people, it would be to have larger print books or magazines available in the reading nooks. Sometimes it can be a bit difficult for us to read small print, especially without our reading glasses.

The Grey Hen had a beautiful decoration, with cozy and comfortable common areas. As a senior woman, I appreciated the accessibility of the entire hotel, including the rooms. It was easy to navigate and there were no obstacles that could have caused any discomfort or inconvenience.
I would have liked to see more activities or amenities specifically tailored for senior guests.
